Uniform
The Dapto High School uniform is supported by the NSW Department of Education to ensure student safety, promote a strong sense of school identity, and foster student belonging. Wearing the full school uniform is mandatory.
Our school uniform
Online Ordering: Purchase anytime through the Daylight Schoolwear Dapto Online Store. Orders are packaged for convenient collection from the Administration Office.
Standard Trading Hours: Tuesdays from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
Location & Access: The uniform shop is located next to the school canteen. During school terms, access is exclusively available through the Administration Office.
Polo Shirt: Maroon polo shirt with gold piping and a gold embroidered 'DHS' crest.
Dress: Tartan pattern dress worn with a maroon tie.
Skirt: Maroon tartan pleated skirt.
Shorts: Plain black elastic-waist shorts with embroidered 'DHS' (available in short or long length), or plain grey chino-style shorts with an elastic waist or zip fly and belt loops (no embroidery).
Long Pants: Plain black lined microfibre track pants with embroidered 'DHS', or plain grey chino-style long pants with an elastic waist or zip fly and belt loops (no embroidery).
Jacket: Maroon zippered, fleece-lined jacket with an embroidered 'DHS' crest.
Blouse, Shirt or Polo: White button-front collared blouse with maroon piping and embroidered 'Dapto High Senior', or white button-front collared shirt with embroidered 'Dapto High Senior', or white polo shirt with a maroon collar and embroidered school crest.

Senior Hoodie Policy: Senior students may only wear their own designated year-level hoodie. Hoodies from older relatives or friends are not permitted.

Shorts: Plain black elastic-waist shorts with embroidered 'DHS' (available in short or long length).
Track Pants: Plain black lined microfibre track pants with embroidered 'DHS'.
When to Wear: The full sports uniform must be worn every Thursday and for all practical PE lessons. If sport-specific attire (such as OzTag shorts or tights) is required for Thursday sport, students must wear their full school sports uniform to school and change at the venue.

General Uniform Standards
Non-Branded Items: Items without ‘DHS’ embroidery must be identical in style to those available at Daylight Sportswear (no external logos permitted).
Tights/Leggings: Tights, leggings, bike shorts, and activewear are not uniform items, but plain tights/leggings may be worn with the school dress.
Approved Hoodies: Representative sport, AIME, Top Blokes, and Young Women’s Program hoodies are permitted.
Mandatory Wear: The school uniform must be worn daily for all excursions, examinations, and official media/publicity photos.
Identification: All items of clothing and equipment should be marked with the student’s name.
Footwear and Jewellery
Footwear: Shoes must be covered, lace-up leather or leather-like, providing protection in line with health and safety requirements. Plain black is preferred.
Jewellery: Must be appropriate and comply with health and safety rules (e.g., no oversized hanging earrings).
Sun Protection: Hats with appropriate logos are encouraged for sun protection.
Out of Uniform Procedures
Explanation: Parents/caregivers must provide a note of explanation for students who are temporarily out of uniform, to be presented at Roll Call.
Compliance: Persistent failure to wear the correct uniform will result in an appropriate disciplinary response.
Financial Support: Student Assistance for uniform purchases is available through the Front Office.
Pre-loved Uniforms
Clothing Pool: Pre-loved uniform items are available from the Clothing Pool at a minimal cost.
Donations: Donations of pre-loved uniforms are accepted and appreciated at the Front Office.
Mufti Day Rules
Footwear: Covered leather or leather-like shoes must be worn.
Prohibited Items: Midriff tops, active wear shorts/tights, inappropriate short clothing, and singlet tops are not permitted.
PE Lessons: Students must wear the PE uniform for any timetabled PE lesson on a Mufti Day.
